Celebrated The 77th Republic Day With Great Pride, Discipline and National Fervour.

With the spirit of patriotism echoing across the campus, Satluj World School, Derabassi celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great pride, discipline, and national fervour.

The Chief Guests of the occasion were the Honourable Shri Kuljeet Singh Randhawa Ji, MLA, Derabassi, and Col. Amrik Singh Ji. They were accompanied by the respected Sarpanchs: Shri Tarsem Lal, Sarpanch of Village Haripur Hinduan, Shri Manpreet Singh, Sarpanch of Village Pandwala, and Shri Varinder Singh, Sarpanch of Village Sundran, whose presence added grace and honour to the ceremony.

The esteemed guests, along with respected parents, were warmly welcomed by the Chairman of the school, Advocate R. D. Sharma, and the Director, Dr. Ruby Sharma, who extended heartfelt greetings and expressed sincere gratitude for their valuable presence and support.

The programme commenced with the patriotic spirit of the national celebrations, followed by an impressive march-past by all four school houses, led by the house captains and the School Captain, Master Yuvraj, showcasing discipline, unity, and dedication. After the march-past, the Honourable MLA, Shri Kuljeet Singh Randhawa Ji, appreciated the school’s efforts in instilling discipline and values among the students. He encouraged them to remain respectful, dedicated to their studies, and uphold the principles of the Constitution, emphasizing that these values are essential for shaping responsible and proud citizens of India.

The celebration featured a series of colourful and vibrant cultural performances, including patriotic songs, dances, and skits, reflecting the rich heritage and diversity of India. Students delivered a meaningful speech on “The Indian Constitution: Flexible and Adaptable” and presented a skit on the making of the Preamble, highlighting the importance of constitutional values. A graceful dance by the young students as a tribute to Bharat Mata was one of the major highlights and received heartfelt appreciation from the audience.

Tokens of felicitation were presented to all the esteemed guests as a mark of respect. Addressing the gathering, the Chairman inspired students to be disciplined, respectful, and punctual, emphasizing that these qualities are essential for building a strong and progressive nation.

In her inspiring address, the Director, Dr. Ruby Sharma, highly appreciated the dedication, confidence, and enthusiasm shown by the students and teachers. She thanked the Honourable MLA, respected Sarpanchs, and parents for their continued support and encouragement. Dr Sharma motivated the students to uphold the values of the Constitution, embrace moral responsibility, and work sincerely towards becoming proud citizens of India. Her words filled the audience with confidence, patriotic zeal, and a renewed sense of purpose.

The Chief Guests also praised the school for nurturing responsible citizens and encouraged the students to contribute actively to the nation’s progress.

The celebration concluded on a high and inspiring note with the singing of the National Anthem and the distribution of sweets, leaving behind a deep sense of patriotism, unity, and pride in the hearts of all present.
